- Lelehkan margarin kemudian tambahkan susu, gula, garam, dan ragi lalu diamkan 5 menit.
- Tambahkan telur, aduk rata.
- Masukkan terigu lalu uleni adonan. Diamkan 1 jam, lalu uleni lagi hingga adonan tidak lengket ditangan.
- Bagi rata adonan menjadi 16 pieces.
- Ambil 1 bagian kemudian pipihkan seperti tali memanjang lalu dibentuk dengan menyilangkannya.
- Olesi bagian atas roti dengan kuning telur. Lalu panggang selama 30-40 menit. Cara lain : goreng hingga kecoklatan.
- Sajikan. Jika digoreng > masukkan kkwabaegi ke dalam plastik yg berisi gula halus/ gula palem*, lalu campurkan. *sesuai selera.
